COLD AND HOT

During World War II, an aide read to Churchill an account in a tabloid: A seventy-five-year-old man on a cold January day-with the temperature thirty-five degrees below freezing had propositioned a nineteen-year-old girl to have sex on the grass in Hyde Park.

Churchill replied to the aide, "Over seventy-five! Below-zero temperature! It makes you proud to be an Englishman!"
