War501E was a total restoration from the original car, including the original 1275S engine, and is the original Tweed grey with dove grey interior and Old English White roof.

The car retains its original engine and chassis numbers, and has a British Motor Heritage certificate.

The only modifications from the original include a 4 synchromesh transmission, aluminum radiator, electronic ignition, replica reclining front seats, period tachometer, unleaded conversion, and inertia seat belts. It also has a new control box, Heritage brake and clutch master cylinders, Hi-Lo's, fuel tank sender, and correct new wiring loom.
